Social Studies Research:
In class, everyone has spent at least 20 minutes researching and comparing the life of a farmer vs. the life of a Samurai during the era of Emperor Kammu. Hopefully you took notes and you are using a reputable web site.
Complete a reflective writing assignment about
what part of society would you like to belong in Japan during the time that Emperor Kammu was in charge. You should follow up with another paragraph that outlines what role in society you would like
least, at any point during the era of the samurai.
The two paragraph assignment should be about one page in length. This is due TUESDAY. Next week, students will be called to respond
with the range of roles and positions that were outlined in the writing
assignment.
