Friday, December 13th

216 Writing: 2013: The Year in Pictures

Paragraph 1: What were the most important moments of your life in 2013? Make sure you have one main topic sentence. The other sentences will support your statement.

Paragraph 2: What news events stand out to you as some of the years most memorable? Make sure you support your opinion.

Other items:
Complete the worksheet pages 4-5.

Take a look at the poetry contest on the bottom of p. 5. Deadline is January 24th!


216 Math:
Our chapter 4 test will be on Monday.

4th Social Studies:
Complete your Chapter 5 study guide.  Your chapter 5 test will be on Tuesday.  You can use your notes.



Thursday, December 12th

216 Math:
Complete your study guide for Chapter 4 tonight.  Friday, we are going to go through some practice problems from the study guide..
Our chapter 4 test will be on Monday.

*Practice for IXL: H1 through H12.  Practice these skills.  Many of these types of problems will be on your test!


Wednesday, December 11th

216 Math:
Complete SL 4-7 tonight.  Thursday, we are going to work through some practice problems.
Depending on how much we get through, we will have our chapter 4 test Friday or Monday.

Tuesday, December 10th

216 Math:
Complete Math Journal p. 115, problems 2 through 5 tonight.  We are going to finish 4-7 tomorrow, work through some practice problems thursday and have the chapter 4 test Friday.

5th Social Studies:
Daily Life in America project is due tomorrow for room 216 and Thursday for room 218. Additional project details are below. 

Monday, December 9th

216 Math:
Complete SL 4-6 tonight.

5th Social Studies:
In case you want to continue working on your project at home, here are the details:
Daily Life in America.
Use the information from Chapter 4 (p. 144-170) to make a display titled "Daily Life in America". Your chart should feature Spanish Missions, French Settlements, and Jamestown and Plymouth Colonies.

For each settlement or colony, list the location, climate, foods available, and buildings. If you want to earn an "A", make sure you include several other interesting facts!


Be sure to draw pictures from what you see in the book or online.

The project is due Wednesday for room 216 and Thursday for room 218.
