If you want to earn an additional 10 points on your math test, work on IXL skills M12, M13, and N-9 through N-13.  You must write down your work in order to receive credit.  Don't forget that you need to have a parent sign your Chapter 8 Test.

Complete any missing SL's relating to chapter 8.
Your chapter 8 test will be Wednesday, May 28th.

IXL practice modules: L7, M3, M5, M13, N11, N13.  After you master these, you can work on other M and N modules.  Write down each problem, steps, answer and whether you got that particular problem correct or not.

Complete the "Game Time" TFK.  This is due Monday.

Enrichment: Writing assignment - Final copy due Monday.  It can either be written in pen using loose leaf paper (not out of spiral notebook), typed and printed at home or typed and shared using google drive.   Please make sure you give me access to see your document (kresh@cps.edu).

Items you should include in your writing:

What are the problems we discussed during Earth week?

What are things that we can do as a society to improve the problems?

What are you going to do about it?

What do you think the world will be like in 50 years if we don't do anything (keep doing what we are doing).

Ideas to ponder...

  • What are you going to do as a consumer?
  • Who are you going to tell about what you now know?
  • What other actions can you perform?

Covered Wagon: Yesterday vs. Today

  • On one half of a page, create a cutaway diagram that illustrate the key elements of a covered wagon in the 1800's. Include the items that you think would be necessary to survive the journey west.
  • Present day: Create a cutaway diagram that illustrate the updated design for your new and improved covered wagon. Be sure to include what you would consider necessary for your journey west...in 2014.
