216 Math:
Complete SL 6.10.  You will work on your Chapter 6 study guide in class tomorrow.  It is due Monday. Your chapter 6 test is Tuesday!

4th Soc:

For those of you that didn't finish in class: 

• On p. 280, answer questions 1-6.
• The answer to question 6 should be at least 3 sentences long.
• On the back of your page, create a graphic organizer.

The center circle is "Great Lake states", the 3 circles linked to the center are 1) Agriculture, 2) Waterways and 3) Industries.

List an average of at least three items in each circle.

Endangered Species Project

5th Soc:
Take a look at the following sites for lists of endangered species:

Make sure that whatever species you want to research and present allows you to include the reasons why they are endangered and what you recommend to solve this problem.

You are going to list one of the major issues and develop a list of actions people could take to reduce or reverse the problem.

You can present this any way you would like as long as you capture at least eight of the responses to the questions below, communicate the issue and the action steps.

1.              What are the most important things you can summarize about your endangered species?

2.              Where does your animal live? (Name the country and continent)

3.              What are the major sources of food for the animal?

4.              In what habitat or biomes does the animal live in?

5.              What is the life span of the animal?

6.              What is the most serious threat to this animal’s existence?

7.              If this animal were to be extinct tomorrow hypothesize the effect on the ecosystem in which the animal lives.

8.              Are there any adaptations this animal possesses that might enable it to survive better? What are they?

9.              Are they any organisms that depend on your animal for their existence?

10.           What actions could people take to reduce or reverse the problem?  (This includes a proposal for how you recommend fixing the problem). 

11.           What is the most interesting thing you didn’t already know that you learned about your animal?

12.           What else did you discover that you would like to share?

This project doesn't have a due date but it will likely be towards the end of next week.
