6A - Your quiz on 2.4 through 2.6 will be Monday, November 10th.
6B - Your quiz on 2.4 through 2.6 will be Thursday, November 13th.


Wednesday, November 5th

4th Math:
Think of a word problem that uses at least one operation.  Please don't make it as simple as "if I take one plus one what do I get?".  Challenge your classmates with the problem on Thursday!

5th Math:
Complete SL 3-5.

6th Math:
Finish your packet for 2.6: Dividing Decimals.  This is due Thursday.

Your quiz on 2.4 through 2.6 will be Monday, November 10th.


Monday, November 3rd

4th Math:
Complete SL 3-6 if you haven't already.  Also, complete SL 3-7

5th Math:
Complete SL 3-4.

6th Math:
IXL - Complete a total of 40 problems, solving at least ten from each of the following skills:
o.1, o.2, o.4 and o.7.
Write down 1) the problem, 2) steps required to solve the problem, 3) your answer and 4) whether it was correct or not.

6th Math:
Log on IXL and complete ten of the problems from each of the following skills: W-4 through W-7.
Make sure you write down the problem, your work, your answer and whether your answer is correct or not.  You should complete at least 40 problems.

 In your math journal, make sure you complete and practice the following items:

P. 33 (partial-sums), p. 35 (trade-first subtraction)
P. 43 - which is greater: 50%, 3/5, 4/9, 0.4

Convert 0.15 to ____%. Convert 6/8 to ____%.

P.31 #2 and #4, p.37-38, p.39 #4 (write in expanded notation). p.41, p.47-48, p.50-51, p.53 #2a and 3.

After your test Thursday, I am going to collect and grade your math journals.


6th Grade:

6th Math:
Today, you were given the a "Test B".  It has problems very similar to what you will see on your chapter test Tuesday.  Practice practice practice!  Work on reducing the amount of time required to answer each problem.  I would expect that everyone is using their worksheets, practice test and your quiz results to prepare for Tuesday's Chapter 1 test.
